Lexus hybrid LF-LC 2+2 concept in pictures

Looking like its based on the Lexus LFA, the LF-LC hybrid concept car has taken a sip of Ferrari juice sprinkled with Toyota Prius before hitting the stands of the 2012 North American International Auto Show.

The concept car is not just about good looks and performance from a hybrid, but also about new motoring technologies. With CES currently hitting the headlines in Las Vegas, it’s a well timed boost for Lexus to be showing off all its technological might.

According to the press release: “Inside the driver and passenger are treated to the latest in innovative features, including a remote touch-screen device for command of all on-board vehicle functions and twin 12.3-inch multi-information display screens, lightweight race-inspired seats and a racing steering wheel. Similar touch-screen surfaces feature on each door and operate the windows, mirrors, seat adjustments and personal entertainment settings.”

Other cool features of the car include a glass roof, tail lamps inspired by jet after-burners and rear fog lights. And just in case you let the supercar looks get hold of you too much, there is an Eco monitor on the instrument panel so you can drive this supercar like a Honda Civic Hybrid.

“The LF-LC concept demonstrates Lexus’ commitment to debuting exciting new technology and designs that engage all the senses,” said Lexus Australia chief executive Tony Cramb. That it does, but sadly you won’t get to experience it.
