Ricciardo joining the Australian GP Media Circus

Young Aussie Daniel Ricciardo is back on home soil ready for this weekend’s Formula One Grand Prix at Albert Park, and he’s certainly drumming up publicity.

In what is likely to be a relief for Mark Webber, Ricciardo is under the spotlight ahead of his first Australian GP, which is also his first as full-time driver for the Torro-Rosso team.

It’s refreshing to see an athlete be so open and honest, as seen in his response to Eddie McGuire’s questions on the Fox Footy channel about his pay being “under $500,000”. Let’s hope that his openness isn’t “media trained” out of him too soon.
