Mates Rates: SVP film scanner for $29

Turning your old photos into digital images you can store and back up your computer can be a pain the backside. This scanner looks to make it easy, and is insanely affordable.

For $29, the SVP digital slide scanner scans your 35mm negatives, converting them into digital files you can store on your computer, backup and upload to Facebook.

It works on both Windows and Macs, runs off USB or AAA batteries and Stores images to SD card.

There are more expensive options out there that probably offer a superior scan, but for 29 bucks, this is probably the cheapest and easiest way to turn your negatives into pictures you can actually use.
