What do you want to see in the new iPad?

At about 5am tomorrow morning Sydney time, Apple will be unveiling its third generation iPad at an event in San Francisco. We’ve given you our thoughts on what to expect, but now we want to know what you want to see.

Trev believes that the next iPad will come packing a similar design as the current iPad 2 model, but with a higher resolution display, and maintaining a dual core processor (although not necessarily the same one in the iPad 2).

Personally, I think he’s right on most counts, with the addition of a higher resolution front facing camera for HD FaceTime chats. We can probably expect to see a little more RAM in there to help with the massive boost in resolution a retina display will bring, and I also expect Apple to bring some new first-party apps to the launch to illustrate the benefits of a high resolution display.

But while we can guess and speculate about the iPad’s new features all day, what we really want to know is what do you want to see from a new iPad? Is a higher resolution screen enough of an update for you, or are you hoping for something more? Let us know in the comments section below.

And stay tuned for our early hands on impressions tomorrow – Trevor is in San Francisco, courtesy of Apple, for the launch event itself, and will be bringing you his thoughts and experiences with the device live from the launch.
