The Garage Sale Trail is on this Saturday – clear out your man cave!

The greatest garage sale in Australia, possibly the world, is on this Saturday. The Garage Sale Trail will see sellers all around Australia open their garages on the same day for bargain hunters, odd item collectors and rubbish rummagers alike.

It’s all about sustainability, community and creativity, the website boasts. It will be the second year The Garage Sale Trail has kicked into action and it’s backed by a number of celebrities and big name sponsors. There’s nothing to it other than being a great way to meet a few people, grab a bargain and clear out that man cave of yours without adding to landfill.

The Garage Sale Trail website makes it easy for anyone to list their sale as well as the items that will be up for grabs so the Australian public, no matter where they are, can find out what’s on offer. Users of the site can discover sale locations and even screen their search to only find certain types of items, such as electronics, or DVDs.

According to the website, “Last year over 1,600 garage sales were held which connected to a giant 80,000 shoppers, neighbours and sticky beaks with things they loved, old and new.” The best thing about it, aside from turning disorganised garage sales into a shopper and sellers Mecca, is that it’s free to get involved, even if you are a seller. You can even print out special posters from the website to post locally and improve awareness.

Getting involved in The Garage Sale Trail is a great way to both clean out that man cave or pick up a few items at a bargain price to finish it off. Download the mobile app to make things even easier on the day. Be quick though, it happens this Saturday!
