The new Amazing Spiderman trailer shows it may not have been a silly reboot after all

When it was first announced that Marvel were rebooting the Spiderman movie franchise again just 10 years after Toby Maguire nailed the role, I was sceptical. But this new trailer has me excited by the possibilities.

Promising a slightly different origin story to Toby Maguire’s Spiderman, the Amazing Spiderman is set to round out an impressive season of comic book movies, including the recently released Avengers and the conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises.

As far as trailers go, this has got me hooked. Not quite as hooked as Batman, but enough to make me want to see where new Spiderman Andrew Garfield can take the character. It hits cinemas on July 4.
