Jack Daniels has something sweet for whiskey drinkers

It’s a good year to be a whiskey drinker. After more than a decade, Jack Daniels is launching its first new whiskey in Australia, blending a proprietary honey liqueur with Jack’s classic Old No. 7 whiskey.

The new spirit, called Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey, reportedly offers a complex flavour, combining the sweetness of the honey liqueur with the natural charcoal flavours of the JD. According to Jack Daniel’s Master Taster Jeff Norman, it “brings together two complementary tastes in a new way. The quality and character of Tennessee Honey is in keeping with the Jack Daniel’s tradition, and we think our Australian friends will be pleasantly surprised with the new offering that has everyone abuzz.”

Obviously designed to be drunk straight or over ice, the new whiskey also works well with lemon squash or dry.

You can grab the new whiskey in 50mL, 700mL and 1 litre variations at your local bottle shop.

Price: From $45
