Fitbit Zip and Fitbit One help you lose the pudge

Already leading the way for technology-based fitness, FitBit has gotten even better with the launch of the Zip and One fitness trackers.

The FitBit Zip is designed to bring the step-tracking experience to a much lower price point. At $70, you get the same step-tracking and calorie counting functionality as previous FitBit models, except without the sleep-tracker and floor-climbing metrics. Available in four different colours, and using the Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy function, the Zip has a tap-screen interface to cycle through your metrics, and has a replaceable battery that can last up to six months.

The FitBit One, meanwhile, brings Bluetooth 4.0 to the tracking system, adding the ability to sync directly to an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5. An easy to read screen and rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days compliment the One’s stylish design, which is available in burgundy or black. At $120, you also get the ability to track stairs climbed and how well you sleep, and the ability to have the device vibrate silently to wake you up gently.

The Zip is available now, with the One launching in November to replace the FitBit Ultra.

Price: $69.95 (Zip); $119.95 (One)
