Red Bull Racing Australia reveals Casey Stoner’s new car

The wraps have come off the V8 Supercar Aussie MotoGP champion Casey Stoner will race in the Dunlop Development Series for Triple 8 Racing run Red Bull Racing Australia.

No surprises that it looks pretty much like the main game Triple 8 Racing Red Bull cars of Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup. The car also carries major sponsorship from Pirtek on the bonnet. Stoner will be embarking on a full season of Dunlop Development Series racing and rumours suggest he may even take part in the Endurance Championship which includes Surfers Paradise, Sandown and Bathurst in the V8 Supercar Championship.

Stoner will debut this weekend at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide and told the Herald Sun he was looking forward to the experience.

“It’s going to be a big learning experience in a short period of time,” he said. “I’m looking forward to ripping around the streets and it being legal.

“It should be a bit of fun.”

Stoner will run the number 27 which he made famous while racing MotoGP.
