iPad case with a keyboard – only when you need it – Moshi VersaCover

I’ve said it more times than I’ve reviewed cases for iPads, the ideas these companies come up with will never cease to amaze me.  Premium brand Moshi have done it again with a case that not only protects your iPad and has a keyboard but makes it an option.  Let me explain

With most Keyboard cases for iPad, the Keyboard is on the inside of the cover and when you fold open the cover you’ve got a keyboard ready to go.  The problem which Moshi have identified is that you don’t always want to have a keyboard.

What Moshi have done is include a simple and slim keyboard for your iPad, which is not attached at all when in use.  That alone is great, because you can sit comfortably where you want with your iPad at a distance that suits.  The keyboard doesn’t need to be right next to the iPad itself.

But where the real gimmick comes into play is where you store that keyboard when you don’t want it.  The back of the case has a slide in slot where the keyboard simply slides away and when you’re not using it – it just seems like a thickish cover for the iPad.

For those who do like to tap away on a physical keyboard, but don’t use it all the time, the VersaCover is a cracking great idea from Moshi.

You’ll also get a solid 130 hours of battery life, and to make it all work together even better, the front cover of the Moshi VersaCover folds into a stand for your iPad as well.

Moshi VersaCover will set you back $129.95
