Following the fanfare of the Apple “Spring Forward” event in which Tim Cook and his team outlined all the details of the Apple Watch specifications and applications, local details for Australia have been announced.
There are three Apple Watches, each available in two different sizes, and each have a range of bands available – so it’s a tectonic shift for Apple who are normally more of a “one size fits all” kind of company when it comes to their consumer products. Not this time – 38 different models.
Ranging in price from $499 right up to the extraordinary 18-carat gold Apple Watch Edition at $14,000.
You’ll be able to grab yours from April 24 as Australia is one of the first 9 countries in the world to get it.

This is the entry level watch, which is made from “anodised aluminium” and comes with a range of options for the band, and in both 38mm and 42mm watch face sizes.

To use the watch, you’ll need an iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.2. or later.
