Casio Edifice Red Bull Racing Edition for 2015 – The Smartwatch with Style

You know I’m a sucker for Red Bull Racing gear, and you know I’m a sucker for a good-looking watch.  Once or twice a year Casio make dreams come true with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Limited Edition Edifice.

This year is their best ever. I’ve been looking at these Red Bull Racing limited editions for a few years, and the combination of a grey ion plated band and case with the Rose gold ion features is by far the best bling yet.

On the wrist this is a large watch weighing in at 191grams with an almost 4.5cm face.

It’s full of features, but for me there are three key features to know about.

Tough Solar

Somewhere, somehow this watch has tiny solar panels in it.  Which means – you never need to charge the battery.   The big thing about the “tough” solar is that it’s going to charge even from indoor lights.

Dual Time

On the face you’ll notice a second mini clock.  This is a world time setting, which gives you an at-a-glance look at the timein another time zone that you choose

Mobile Link Bluetooth

All that is nothing compared to making this a smartwatch.

No, it doesn’t have a touch-screen or show you emails.  But it is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

On the Casio Watch+ app you pair your watch simply by pressing the Bluetooth button for half a second.  The app immediately pairs to the watch and takes you to a screen which is a graphical representation of the watch.

Here you can set the world time that you want to appear in the inner watch face, as well as setting the watch alarm and via your smartphone the watch’s main time will be synchronised with your smartphone to get you the local time wherever you are.

The Rose gold features are all around the face, and really make it pop.

This thing attracts the eyes of everyone you meet and for good reason.

If you can find this limited edition in your local area, it will set you back $999.

It’s official Casio model number is the EQB-510RBM-1A.  Enjoy.
