Charging stand for your Apple Watch – HiRise from Twelve South Now available in Australia

The Apple Watch has been available now for a little over a month, and one of the frustrations I have with the device is the charging.  Not the daily charge, that’s expected – the simple and very crude cable sitting on your bedside.

Enter the HiRise from Twelve South.  HiRise is a product Twelve South have had for iPhone and iPad for some time so they’ve taken that concept and applied it to the Apple Watch.  I quite hate having my watch sitting on the bedside table without any support, one incorrect move of the cable and it could end up on the floor.

Using the cable that came with your Apple Watch, your $69.95 HiRise is a stand to hold your charging cable in place while also providing a place to “hang” your Watch.

Because the charging cable is magnetic, the watch hangs snug on the HiRise no matter which band you have.

The Milanese loop dangles flat behind the stand, while the classic leather buckle keeps its form for the most part.

If you have the metal link band it can stand out and around as if it were still on your wrist, while if the clasp is open it will dangle onto the base.

Critically the base has a softer rubberised section to prevent any scratches on the band.

Easy to setup, makes having the Apple Watch on your bedside look a lot better, and it’s available in Black or Silver.

You’ll find it now at good Apple resellers, and online at macintoshaddict.com.au, rushfaster.com.au, beezer.com.au
