Toyota Shows Off Toyota Kikai Concept at CES 2016

First seen at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota has brought their Kikai concept car to CES 2016.

When first viewed it would be easy to write off the little Kikai as nothing more than the Toyota engineers blowing off some steam and having fun.

When viewed with the knowledge that Toyota has recently dropped a cool US$1 billion on their new Toyota Research Institute the Kikai takes on a whole new importance.

Toyota has a vision for cars of the future which focuses heavily on robotics and automation. With the constant theme running through CES 2016 being connectivity and adaptability it is easy to see that Toyota imagines that the cars of the future will be automated when they need to be and fun to drive when we want them to be.

EFTM’s coverage of CES 2016 is made possible with support from Intel, Hisense, Sony, Samsung, LG and Alcatel One Touch
