Tesla to open Sydney City showroom in Martin Place

Later this year automotive up-start Tesla will open their third retail store in Australia, this one in Sydney’s Iconic Martin Place.

We first brought you the news of Tesla’s first Australian Store in Artarmon, which was then joined by a store (and service centre) in Richmond in Victoria.

News today from Tesla they will open a new store in Sydney’s CBD in the third quarter of 2016 at Number 20 Martin Place.

This was an ANZ facility, but has recently been boarded up for renovations – seems now Tesla is set to launch a two-story facility in the location which will be its first stand-alone store in Australia to showcase Vehicles, their design studio plus merchandise.

Of course, with high-flying bankers walking the streets for their morning and lunchtime coffees there’s a captive market for prospective Tesla owners with test drives departing from the underground carpark at the same location.

Interestingly, but completely unrelated – just for fun fact, the location is also the same as Apple Australia’s Headquarters, having moved from further down George St earlier this year.  So, Number 20 Martin Place is sure going to be the place for Fanboy central.
