Honda shows off Civic Type R at SEMA

With that iconic red “H” badge front and back there’s no mistaking this one for a Type R – on show at the SEMA show in the US for the first time it’s a look at what could be from the 10th generation Civic next year.

I’ve got a soft spot for the Civic, my mum’s Civic sedan drove almost faultlessly from 1995 until this year, racking up almost a million kilometers, but we never had the Type R.

Smoked headlight lenses, carbon fibre skirts, black alloys, diffuser, three tailpipes and a whole lot more aggression from every angle, it’s all good from Honda this time round.

Honda is going to go hard on the 10th generation Civic in 2017 so expect to see more of this, and many more in the range – what we’ll get in Australia we’re yet to find out.

Meanwhile – Enjoy!
