Get some Riddim with House of Marley Bag of Riddim 2 – our Review

From the outset, I’m just going to say I assume this is called Riddim because of the strong Marley accent on the word Rhythm.  I could be wrong, but it makes some sense.  House of Marley have been hitting it out of the park lately and the “Bag of Riddim 2” is no exception.

This thing is huge, and it’s just $299.  Compare that to something like the UE Megaboom which is $50 more and you’re going to struggle to compare on face value, unless you need the waterproof and smaller form factor of the Megaboom.

The Bag of Riddim 2 is more like a portable gheto-blaster than Bluetooth speaker, most notably because of the fabric back that is custom-made to fit the Riddim 2 speaker.

Made from organic cotton, hemp and recycled plastic bottles it’s a tribute to Bob Marley’s love for mother nature.

As a standalone speaker this thing has more volume then you’ll ever need – solid base sound without being too overpowering, yet plays a classical tune like it was designed just for that.

With two 20W outputs, two 1-inch tweeters and 3.5 inch Woofers there’s something at every level of frequency in a song.

On-board battery offers 10 hours play time and can charge your phone as well.

When the bag is on the buttons are still accessible – just, plus there’s a pouch for your things.   On the road there must be no reason to need power because the power plug isn’t accessible with the bag on – which is a real shame in terms of design.

At $299 this is bloody awesome.   Great bamboo finish, great look and fantastic sound.
