Fetch TV adds more kids channels to their IPTV Pay TV list

You can never have enough kids TV channels – that’s what Foxtel must have thought in the early days, and it’s what Fetch TV are thinking in 2017 as they add two new kids channels to the Fetch TV Entertainment pack.

CNN along with Cartoon Network and Boomerang are part of the Turner group of channels and have been available on Foxtel for some time.  Foxtel are no longer allowed to have exclusive channel deals after their merger with Austar, and this has led to more and more net channels hitting Fetch TV.

As a set-top box Fetch offers some great EPG and Catch Up options along with movie and TV show purchase and rentals.

The Entertainment pack ($15 a month) offers a huge range of channels (over 35) to subscribers and these channels are all delivered via your home internet connection.

Cartoon Network offers Ben Ten, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup as well as  the channel’s new series Mighty Magiswords.

Boomerang meanwhile has the cartoon version of Mr Bean, Inspector Gadget and Looney Tunes.

“Fetch families are going to love this news!” said Robi Stanton, General Manager of Turner Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Territories. “With Boomerang and Cartoon Network added to the line-up, subscribers now have access to the best animation from around the world. Both channels feature characters designed with one purpose in mind – to make everyone laugh.”

Fetch TV CEO Scott Lorson said “Fetch is thrilled to reach a partnership agreement with Turner, and with the 3 fantastic additions to our channel offering – CNN, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. We will continue to partner with world-class content channel partners like Turner to bring Fetch TV subscribers the very best in entertainment. Plenty more to come”.

If you’re wondering why this is a big deal?  Check the ratings – Kids TV features prominently in the top shows on Foxtel and Digital TV – any wonder Fetch is using them as an incentive to buy their box/service.
