It seems the curved TV fad isn’t over yet, certainly not if you listen to Samsung who are still selling them by the truckload in their premium range, and if you ask Ruslan Kogan he’d be hoping for the same.
Kogan today released a 55 inch Curved LED on their site for just $749.
The TV is 4K and includes a PVR function to pause, rewind and record Live TV onto a USB connected device, and has a solid 4 HDMI inputs.
We’ll wait and see how the TV stacks up, while in 4K it will no doubt look amazing, we’re learning very fast that it’s the image processing that makes a real difference for 4K TVs.
As for the Curve, it’s a many year old technology which clearly the factory’s Kogan sources from are now able to manufacture at a high yield rate – I personally don’t love the curved screen, but many do – these will sell like hotcakes.
