Samsung lets you go hands on with all its gadgets and gizmos

One of the amazing things about what companies like Samsung do at the big tech trade shows like CES and Mobile World Congress is the experience – the interactive displays that let you experience – in particular Virtual Reality – first hand.

For the first time in the world, Samsung has created a hands on experience for the public to interact with and it’s been setup at Westfield Parramatta – right in the heart of Sydney.

Richard Fink from Samsung Australia says “This is the first time Samsung has given Australians this kind of access to immersive experiences that are built around our latest mobile innovation. People can now have hands on experience with our new Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones, as well as virtual reality and wearable technology,”

The concept of the “Galaxy Studio” will roll out to countries across Europe and Asia but it kicks off today in Australia and will operate in Parramatta for just 24 days.

That timeframe spans the hype period for the S8 and S8+, as well as the actual on-sale launch date later this month.

26 Staff will man the area which includes things like a 4D Virtual Reality Theatre, a Snowstorm where you can capture 360 degree video on the Gear 360, liquid animations with Waterproof Selfies and a bunch more.

Logistically, one can only assume that given it’s a temporary installation we’ll see it visit other cities and states very soon – the whole thing took 16 people four days to build – so they can surely pack it up and take it somewhere else next!
