Epic 50th Anniversary HDT Archives Collection on sale now!

A substantial 50th Anniversary HDT Archives Collection has been launched. It is so in depth the body of work weighs 10kg. This would have to be the ultimate encyclopaedia of all things HDT. The Holden Dealer Team was once the 5thlargest car manufacturer in the country, so I’m sure fans are champing at the bit to get hold of this $299,00 piece of history.

A year after arriving on the scene in 1968 with six HK 327 Monaro’s, HDT took out first, third and sixth position at Bathurst in 1969. Of course, this saw the emergence of a young Peter Brock and the rest became history not just on the track but the road. Brock purchased the HDT and started building road cars under the HDT Special Vehicles banner.

So, what do you score? The HDT Archives Collection includes a 350+ page, 10kg coffee table size compendium that would sit proudly in living rooms, pool rooms or man caves across the country

The work looks at the early years of HDT as a Rally and Rallycross team right through to the heady days of Brock and HDT Special Vehicles. There is some amazing imagery and access to historical confidential paperwork

“It’s the perfect time to release this information and reveal both the well-known and unknown stories to HDT enthusiasts out there. This release coincides with our 50th anniversary and a very special time in which the World’s largest collection of Peter Brock cars is being made available at auction. It’s the perfect time for enthusiasts to become part of history as we look to revive manufacturing again in Australia.” said Peter Champion – owner of HDT.

This is a real interactive style product with masses of memorabilia like car badges, confidential internal paperwork, replica vehicle brochures and even a Bathurst 1969 Hardie Ferodo 500 replica trophy won by Colin Bond and Tony Roberts.

If you order quickly fans can send in a photo to be included in the pages of the album “The Fans Album allows all HDT enthusiasts to become part of the history in this special 50th anniversary edition Archive. We really wanted to incorporate this aspect to bring the HDT family together for everyone to enjoy.” said Mr. Champion.

The book is set to be printed and released towards the end of October 2018. Click here for more details.
