LG release new ‘Slim’ French Door Fridges

Out to combat the challenges of trying to fit a traditional, large French Door Fridge in your kitchen, LG have released a new range of ‘slim’ French Door Fridges. As you’re probably well aware, the French Door design has a two-door fridge section on top, with a freezer down below and is debatably the most trendy style of fridge at the moment.

The reason for this slim range, as LG say is that “By looking at the refrigerator buying trends in the market LG was able to establish that many kitchens, and their fridge alcove spaces in particular, weren’t able to fit a full size French Door Fridge …. and that strong demand existed for a narrower option in the French Door design

This range is set to fit alcoves of 850mm while still functioning as a regular French Door Fridge.

The Slim French Door Fridges from LG are equipped with;

  • Linear Cooling: Helps maintain the appearance and taste of fresh products for longer by helping to reduce internal temperature fluctuations.
  • Door Cooling+: Cooling for items stored in the top of the door provided by air vents at the front of the fridge that direct cold air straight onto the door area.
  • SmartThinQ: With the LG SmartThinQ app, owners can remotely control their fridge from their compatible smartphone to adjust fridge settings and diagnose appliance problems (The minimum requirements are Android 4.1.2 onwards or iOS 9 onwards).
  • Slim Indoor Icemaker: Producing ready-to-use ice whenever you need it, the slim design built-in ice maker allows for more usable shelf space inside the fridge and provides small storage baskets on the door.
  • ‘Pure ‘N’ Fresh’ Air Deodoriser: Helps to minimise refrigerator odours by using a fan to actively force air through the carbon deodoriser and send it back across three different shelving levels.
  • Retractable Shelf: The handy retractable shelf can be slid back and adjusted so it’s out of the way to cater for taller or inconveniently sized items.

This brand new range of LG Fridges are available from Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Bing Lee and JB Hi-Fi. They range anywhere from $1,999 all the way up to $3,799 (model soon to be released).
