KIA Announce Deal With AFL Side GWS

Kia has announced a three-year deal with Sydney AFL side the GWS Giants. The brand will be the official vehicle partner of the club. This is yet another sports deal for Kia with exiting agreements still in place with the Australian Open Tennis, Australian Turf Club and the NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs.

The Kia logo will feature on the players shorts with the deal also extending to the AFLW program. Kia boss Damien Meredith said, “To be partnering with the Giants is an exciting and invigorating opportunity for Kia Motors Australia,”

“To a degree, we are both newcomers in our respective fields and both are challenger entities which have already proven not to be out of place in the big game – we look forward to a successful ongoing relationship.”

Giants Chief Executive David Matthews added, “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Kia Motors Australia to the GIANTS family,”

“The Giants and Kia both share similar values and a strong focus on families, especially in the Western Sydney region.”

“Kia has expressed a desire to help the Giants continue to grow and to have their support across both our AFL and AFLW programs ideally complements our existing partnerships.”

“To add one of the world’s biggest and most respected car manufacturers to our suite of corporate partners demonstrates the strong reputation the Giants have built in a short space of time.”

Giants members are also set to gain from the deal via specials offered on Kia cars.
