Welcome to New TV season, the time of year when all the brands announce the pricing for their new years range of TVs, the products we saw announced just a few months ago at CES – and today, it’s Hisense’s turn.
With features like Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos Hisense are not falling behind on the smaller details that lay within each TV aside from the basic size and resolution question.
Featuring Quantum Dot technology (on the R8 and R9), a wide colour range and ultra local dimming Hisense are stalwarts in the Hisense range and when combined with the new Dolby features and enhanced smarts they really take the challenge to every brand on the market.
Hisense’s own operating system the VIDAA U has been upgraded to version 3.0 with Artificial Intelligence technology and voice control using Amazon Alexa built-in as well as Google Assistant.
In addition there will also be Android TV versions available from Hisense in 2019.

The premium ULED Hisense TVs will come in three variants, the R7, R8 and R9, with pricing for the R9 yet to be announced. The R8 comes in 65 and 75 inches and will be priced at $2,999 and $3,999 respectively, while the feature rich R7 will be in four sizes from 50 inch to 75 inch, prices starting at $1,499 up to $3,499.
There are also the R6 seres which range from 43 inches at $849 up to a 75 inch at $2,999 while a larger 85 inch or more will come at a later date.
The Series G TV’s from Hisense will range from $1,249 to $2,299 for the 50 to 65 inch sizes.
Models go on sale from mid to late may depending on the particular TV.
