Back in Barcelona in February while all eyes were on Huawei’s Mate X folding smartphone there was another product unveiled by the tech giant, the MateBook 13.
This laptop is the follow up to an exceptional 2018 product and as I said at the time of the announcement it’s only an incremental upgrade but under the hood this is a very impressive set of specs.
“HUAWEI is committed to providing a truly seamless experience for users, and the HUAWEI MateBook 13 is a great example of this – it combines FullView display, user friendly features, a top-end processor and so much more. For Huawei, creating something that isn’t just stylish but provides such easy interconnection between smart devices and laptops is all part of the experience we’re proud to deliver,” said Larking Huang, Managing Director, Huawei Australia Consumer Business Group.
The screen is exceptional, 2K resolution, 88% screen to body ratio with an almost square 3:2 display ratio.
It’s thin and portable – in a similar vein to the MacBook Air one must say, comes with a processor as fast as Core i7 with a discrete NVIDA GPU.
We’ll put it to the test soon, but if you can’t wait until then – the Huawei MateBook 13 is available now for $1799 in two colours (Silver and Grey) and is available today at the Microsoft Store in Sydney and Online.
