Nespresso launches new range

The latest Limited-Edition Nespresso variety has hit our desks here at EFTM. Aside from our dictator Trevor Long who only drinks water we all love it! It’s called the Master Origin Costa Rica range and celebrates a country that produces some of the finest coffee beans.

Locally grown Arabica coffee beans have been carefully selected then soaked for 12 hours in thermal mineral water. The process not only cleanse the beans but gives them a distinctive flavour profile.

“Mitch Monaghan, Nespresso’s Coffee Ambassador said “Our goal was to offer Australians a unique coffee experience from Costa Rica to be enjoyed at home. We have sustainably sourced coffee from Costa Rica for a number of years, but never like this. Nespresso partnered with farmers in the Central Highlands of Costa Rica to use this specialised washing method to create the new Limited-Edition Master Origin Costa Rica. We are extremely excited to be able to offer our customers a beautiful coffee that is both rich in history and flavour”.

The Master Origin Costa Rica is said to have malty sweet cereal character which we can certainly confirm. For those who like to know about the source and ethics behind their coffee you can be assured Nespresso has that covered. Through the AAA Sustainable Quality Program, it partners with local farmers from various countries to ensure farmers are treated fairly.

This new limited-edition coffee range also joins the pre-existing Master Origin collection that includes seven coffees from the mountains of Sumatra through to the highlands of Nicaragua.

Master Origin Costa Ricacan be enjoyed either via an Espresso (40ml) or in a Lungo serving (110ml). It’s on sale now www.nespresso.comfor $9.50 for a sleeve of 10 capsules.
