Telstra launches Telstra Plus rewards program

After announcing the concept recently, Telstra’s new rewards program for customers has launched today with tempting offers of gadgets and gizmos on offer.

The program will feature three “benefit tiers” – similar to a Frequent Flyer program with “Member”, “Silver” and “Gold” on offer.

Telstra is the only telco with a reward program like this – where points are earned based on the customer spend each month.

Michael Ackland from Telstra says over 370,000 customers have already signed up “Our customers are already ahead of the pack because they can access the best network on the latest technology and devices. With Telstra Plus, being a Telstra customer becomes even more rewarding with our members starting to accumulate points from today,” he said.

“Members will soon be able to exchange their accumulated points for discounts on the latest technology devices and accessories when our redemption store opens in July.”

Points are earned at a rate of 10 per $1 spent on your account, with bonus points on offer when you add a new Telstra service or take out a special deal on upgrades.

All members get discount movie and sport tickets – essentially replacing the old Telstra Thanks program, while Silver Members will receive a one-off Telstra Platinum tech support call per year and a $75 credit on Telstra TV Box Office (which is equivalent to 12 SD movie releases, and one month Kayo subscription)

Gold members get 24×7 tech support over the phone and online through Telstra Platinum valued at $120 per year, as well as a $110 credit on Telstra TV Box Office.

Soon, the Telstra Reward Store will launch, with offers like Google Home Mini for 14,000 points, Samsung Galaxy Buds for 44,000 points plus $72 and more.

We love a good deal, and if you’re a Telstra customer you may as well take advantage of the points on offer by signing up to Telstra Plus!
