HP unveils 5G connected Elite Dragonfly as well as more laptops and intelligent displays

HP has just unveiled their new range of devices which they say will enable ‘More Freedom to Work, Live, Play’. Amongst the announcements are a new range of laptops, displays and a range of sustainable accessories.

HP Elite Dragonfly
In a first, HP is introducing the worlds first business convertible with 5G connectivity for SMBs and enterprise customers.

The convertible device is, HP says, the ‘world’s first notebook made with ocean bound plastic material, and more than 82% of the mechanical parts made from recycled materials’.

Though classed as one of the world’s lightest convertibles, HP will still be offering plenty of power with options to include 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors.

Privacy and security are paramount with the Elite Dragonfly utilising HP’s HP Sure View Reflect technology which lets you raise a distinct copper coloured privacy mode with the press of a button. For added security you’ll also be able to track your laptop on or offline with a Tile tracker built-in.

HP Spectre x360 15
The new HP Spectre x360 15, a beautifully designed laptop made from CNC machined aluminium which includes a gorgeous 15.6-inch 4K OLED display with up to 90% screen to body ratio.

The laptop has plenty of grunt including options for the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GPU and will last a full day with up to 17 hours of battery life.

HP ENVY 32 All-in-One
Next up is the HP Envy 32 All-in-One, the world’s first PC with HDR600 Display. The display is powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and offers 6000:1 contrast ratio, making for a big, bright and beautiful display.

HP will be offering the Envy 32 All-in-One with 9th generation Intel processors and up to 32 GB RAM and options for either 1 TB SSD or dual storage options.

Surround sound is on offer with the Envy 32 including built-in front-firing tweeters and subwoofer speakers custom tuned by Bang & Olufsen.

HP will also include built-in wireless charging in the base and the mixed mode keyboard can also connect to your mobile phone.

HP Intelligent Displays
HP has also announced a new pair of displays with the HP E24d G4 with FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution @ 60 Hz and HP E27d G4 with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution @ 75 Hz. The monitors are what HP are now calling their Advanced Docking Monitors.

HP says these displays are a new category for them describing them as ‘intelligent displays’. The monitors are powered by a single USB Type-C cable which also transmits video and data as well as 100W of power.

The monitors can communicate with Windows Hello on laptops, even with the lid closed, using the integrated webcam in the monitor. IT departments can even adminster them remotely through the network.

Accessories
HP has also announced a new range of sustainable accessories including a HP Envy sleeve made from recycled plastic bottles and the new HP Pavilion Recycled Series which includes a backpack, topload tote, and slim brief made from 100% recycled PET, or plastic bottles. They’ve also announced the HP Spectre Folio Backpack and Topload which feature a water-resistant waxed canvas exterior to protect your devices and keep them dry. The bags include a quilted 15.6-inch diagonal laptop compartment and a trolley handle pass through to make travel a breeze.

Australian availability hasn’t been confirmed at this stage but we’ll get more information on dates and pricing closer to launch.
