LG G9 render shows notch display, headphone jack and four rear cameras

Among the premium smartphones expected to be announced this year is the LG G9. Renders of the phone based on CAD designs have surfaced overnight giving us our first look at what to expect, and it includes a notch in the display.

The render comes courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer (@onleaks on Twitter) who shared the renders on CashKaro. Design wise, the phone is similar to the LG G8 ThinQ, though LG appears to have slimmed down the notch in the display to a simple U-shaped notch.

The display which will measure between 6.7 to 6.9-inches in size and will reportedly also include an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The G9 renders also show that LG will be continuing to include a 3.5mm headphone jack. This is a welcome change from most manufacturers who’ve dropped it in favour of wireless headphones.

LG will step up their camera game on the G9, with the render showing a quad-camera setup and dual flash on the rear. No word on what cameras will be included, but LG’s wide-angle cameras have been a staple of previous G-series phones.

We’ll likely be seeing the LG G9 (likely the LG G9 ThinQ – that’s a mouthful) announced at Mobile World Congress next month and we’ll bring you the details when LG show it off.
