HP pledges $400,000 to bushfire affected students and schools.

While all the focus is of course on our recovery from COVID-19 and its impact on our economy, let’s not forget that just a couple of months ago Bushfires ravaged Australian and there are many communities still recovering from that devastation.

Tech company HP has joined with UNICEF Australia and Royal Far West to provide support to those communities directly.

HP will donate over $400,000 worth of essential technology to help NSW Students and Schools recover from the bushfire destruction.

The donation will come in the way of laptops, monitors and other accessories to schools in the affected regions, with HP working with education experts to identify the those most in need of the learning tools.

Ken Maher from HP Australia “We first founded the HP Kids Fund initiative because we believe in ensuring Aussie kids – no matter their socioeconomic status – receive equal opportunity to flourish in a world increasingly driven by technology. Now, in the wake of the recent bushfires, there are a lot of classrooms and kids in our communities that are without access to essential learning tools.”

Donations will be delivered in co-ordination with the highly trained team at Royal Far West.

Lindsay Cane from Royal Far West acknowledged the support of their partners in this time “The COVID-19 crisis has accelerated our transition from face-to-face to virtual therapy services. We have put together a highly skilled, dedicated team to lead this work. Together with our partners, UNICEF Australia and HP, we are here for the long haul to stand with these communities as they rebuild their resilience and hope.”
