D-Link brings two new EXO AX Series next-generation Wi-Fi 6 Routers to Australia

It’s a good year to update your home router, with a number of Wifi 6 options now on-sale in Australia. D-Link is offering two more Wifi6 enabled router options with the launch of the DIR-X1860 AX1800 and the DIR-X5460 AX5400 in Australia and New Zealand.

DIR-X1860

Both routers offer WiFi 6 connectivity with dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) connectivity able to offer up to 6 simultaneous streams, making 4K streaming, VR gaming or video chatting easy. Both routers feature 4x gigabit Ethernet ports as well as a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port.

There are some differences, with the DIR-X1860 able to offer downloads up to 1800Mbps (1200 Mbps on the 5GHz and 600 Mbps on the 2.4GHz), while the DIR-X5460 supports next-gen speeds up to a whopping 5400Mbps (600 Mbps + 4,800 Mbps), the X5460 also gets USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to create shared storage.

Both routers also support OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology which communicate more data to more devices while simultaneously reducing lag. Beamforming and powerful amplifiers targets devices and extends the reach of the routers.

The routers support the D-Link Wi-Fi app which offers easy setup and enhanced parental controls, and also support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to control your network with your voice.

Graeme Reardon, MD of D-Link AN/Z said, “By combining the very latest Wi-Fi 6 technology into our latest range of EXO AX Series Routers along with our easy-to-use D-Link Wi-Fi installation and management app and our award-winning 24/7 free technical support, it’s an easy choice for customers to upgrade to the latest Wi-Fi technology in their home. With all the latest phones, tablets and smart home devices now coming out that have Wi-Fi 6 built-in, it’s a great time to upgrade your home network and supercharge your home network speeds, whilst increasing your Wi-Fi coverage too.

The DIR-X1860 AX1800 and DIR-X5460 AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Routers are available now in Australia and New Zealand from the usual stockists including D-Link online from AUD$299.95 and AUD$499.95 or NZ$329.99 and NZ$529.99 for our friends across the pond.
