In an age of social distancing and a lack of travel options it’s possible those with a motorbike are best placed to enjoy a getaway.
Just the idea of getting away for a day feels like a holiday, and perhaps those best placed to enjoy some away time are those on two wheels.
And we have some great roads to enjoy tilting side to side.
New ING research shows that more than half of motorbike riders see positive mental health effects as a top reason for their two wheel lifestyle.
They sight a sense of freedom that comes from riding, with many enjoying the fresh air and taking in nature.
So – where to go?
Here’s the top five according to the ING Highway Happiness survey:
I’ll add to that an afternoon ride on the Old Pacific Highway up to Brooklyn, stopping for lunch and the country’s best meat pie at Pie in the Sky.
