JBL announces new Headphones, Bluetooth and Party Speakers at Virtual IFA event

IFA in Berlin is one of the biggest shows for the tech world in particular the European market, and tonight JBL kicked off their Virtual IFA with the announcement of a wide range of new audio products coming soon.

JBL Headphones

JBL has a huge range of headphones in almost every price bracket, their announcements at IFA were targeted in the fully wireless earbud market, with two noise cancelling models.

LIVE FREE NC+

Expanding on the JBL Live range, these are fully wireless headphones with a 7 hour battery life, plus 14 more in the charging case.

They work as a single earbud or both together, have Google and Alexa compatibility but most critically feature Active Noise Cancelling with an Ambient Awareness mode for talkthrough.

JBL will make them in four colours, the case features wireless charging.

JBL REFLECT MINI NC

A similar product to the LIVE FREE NC+ is the Reflect Mini NC.

These follow the design cues of the JBL Reflect range, made for the active who love to run, jog, or work out at the Gym.

Fully Wireless, they feature a range of fittings for the ear tip and the wing in the ear. They have an IPX rating ready for the outdoors, and of course JBL Signature sound.

JBL Portable Bluetooth Speakers

Perhaps the biggest change for JBL is in their Bluetooth portable speaker range. The new JBL GO3, Clip 4 and Extreme 3 have an almost completely new look.

The Go 3 is a new shape, rounded on the edges with the JBL fabric cover.

A rope loop makes it easy to pickup with one finger, while on the bottom are diagonal silicon lines to keep stop the speaker from moving.

A similar change has been made to the new Clip 4, with silicon strips on the back, but the whole speaker gets a redesign.

Now an oval shape with a Carabeena wrapped around it, the clip is now rubber to prevent wear.

For a big boost, the JBL Extreme 3 has those silicon lines, bumpers on each end to protect the speaker, a completely redesigned strap including a larger bottle opener.

All three new speakers feature a much larger and bolder looking JBL logo, a nod to the respect JBL has with its audience who are keen and willing to proudly show off the brand.

JBL Party Speakers

The Partybox lineup of speakers is something epic for big music fans.

Existing Partybox 100 and 1000 speakers remain on the lineup, but the 300 is replaced by the new partybox 310.

This beast features 2 x 2.5inch tweeters and 2 x 6.5 inch woofers. There are five lighting modes syncing with your music, 18 hours of battery life, 240W of power output, and it’s IPX4 splash proof.

Perhaps most importantly, a telescopic handle has been added along with wheels to make this easier to get around the place!

For those who want the look of the lights and the sound of a Partybox but don’t need the larger units JBL is introducing an all new Partybox “On-the-go”.

Smaller, but available with a shoulder strap and outputting 100W of power this is one hell of a party speaker.

And when things really warm up the speaker comes with an included wireless microphone for your party sing-a-long!

Pricing and Availability for Australia?

This is a global announcement for JBL, and while we don’t have any specific news on Australian availability or pricing, rest assured these are all products in demand in Australia. Expect to see some of them before Christmas, with others perhaps landing early in the new year.
