Moto G9 play launching in Australia for $299 on October 7th

Motorola is expanding their mid-tier smartphone offerings with the launch of the Moto G9 Play in Australia.

The Moto G9 Play will cost $299 when it arrives in store from Wednesday, 7th October at a range of retailers in either Sapphire Blue or Spring Pink colour options.

Motorola says the Moto G9 Play offers reliability, long battery life, a great camera when you need it and NFC technology for contactless mobile payments.

The Moto G9 Play comes with a 6.5“ Max Vision (20:9) HD+ screen with teardrop notch housing an 8MP selfie camera on the front. On the back you get a fingerprint sensor featuring Motorola’s batwing logo, and a 48 MP triple camera system which also includes a 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro camera.

Motorola have included a Google Assistant shortcut key on the side of the Moto G9 Play, allowing you fast access to the Assistant at any time.

You’ll find a Snapdragon 662 CPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB of on-board storage inside the Moto G9 Play with a 5,000mAh battery offering up to 2-days battery life.

Danny Adamopoulos, General Manager of Sales, APAC for Mature Markets, Motorola said of the Moto G9 Play noted Motorolas heritage in this end of the market saying ‘Motorola understands the mid-tier segment like nobody else.

Mr Adamopoulos went on to say ‘Each year, we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this price range. With the moto g9 play, we have taken the mobile experience to the next level by combining everything consumers want in one product.

Even with a 3.5mm headphone jack on board Motorola has supplied a pair of TWS earbuds in the box rather than wired headphones. The included charging case includes a built-in USB charging cable that allows the buds to be charged directly from the phone.

The Sapphire Blue Moto G9 Play will be available from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and the Motorola online store. The Spring Pink will be available from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and the Motorola online store.
