EFTM Best Camera 2020: GoPro Hero 9

Broad category, open to many many entrants – but in reality, we don’t test a lot of cameras each year. Action cameras would be a big part, perhaps webcams, and now and then a decent SLR style.

But the GoPro Hero 9 offered some great advances for the GoPro brand. The front facing screen was a huge win, though not a first in the category.

However, we have utter respect for GoPro’s decision to make the camera bigger in a world where devices normally get smaller.

This meant better battery life. A Big deal. Additionally 5K recording gives creators more options, and the image quality as always was a step ahead.
