Belkin launches “Soundform” True Wireless Earbuds with Apple “Find My” built-in

Belkin is out of the blocks with some cracking announcements at CES 2021. Growing their Audio portfolio, the brand is launching new fully-wireless earbuds in the middle of the year to rival Apple’s own Airpods and the many other such products on the market.

At a glance, without hearing them, they seem to tick a lot of boxes. Most notably, design and price.

They look strikingly similar to Apple’s own Airpods Pro and while many brands buck that trend, there’s a distinct appeal to the “bud and stalk” style wireless earphones.

Inside, there’s a Qualcomm QCC3046 Bluetooth SoC to deliver high quality phone calls minus the background noise, as well as Belkin’s “signature sound” which at this stage is still in its infancy in terms of reputation.

Battery life seems exceptional on spec, with 8 hours in-ear play time, with 20 hours more in the case which is Qi wireless capable.

Critically, re-enforcing Belkin’s close relationship with Apple – these Soundform Freedom True Wireless Earbuds will feature Apple’s Find My technology, allowing the “Find My” app on Apple devices to be used to locate your earbuds if you’ve lost them.

This also includes a privacy first crowdsourced Find My Network of other Apple users, similar to the “tile” tracking network, but built into the core of the Apple ecosystem.

Belkin Soundform Freedom True Wireless Earbuds will hit Australia in July this year, at major retailers and are expected to launch at $149.95.
