In a bid to lure the younger generation to their network, Vodafone has launched a raft of discounts and specific plans for new customers under 25 years of age.
Launching today, and running through to mid March the idea is that new customers aged between 18 and 25 receive 10 percent off their monthly plan fees across Vodafone’se Infinite, Red and Red Tablet plans.
Vodafone’s Ana Bordeianu says “We’re making it easier for youth to connect with friends, family and the things that are important to them, because
we know finances are tight for a lot of young people, especially due to COVID,”
“With our 5G network now available in parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth, it’s a great time to join us.
“We’ll have more youth offers launching over coming weeks so stay tuned.”
This is probably the first real marketing push from Vodafone since the company’s merger with TPG, and is a new approach to a broader, and younger market.
That 10% discount aplies for 12 months on SIM only plans over $30, or for the period of your device repayments for those bundling a plan with a device.
Over and above the 10%, there’s also a specific deal on the telco’s 50GB plan, offered for just $31 for the first 12 months (normally $40) – that deal only lasts until 28th January.
