Lenovo announces new Smart Clock 2 with wireless charging dock powered by Google Assistant

The Lenovo Smart Clock was an instant success around the EFTM camp, and at Mobile World Congress they’ve announced the Smart Clock 2 with a wireless charging dock.

The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 introduces a new taller design, but keeps the same 4” IPS LCD display. Lenovo has added forward firing speakers for better sound, and also the wireless charging dock.

The Wireless Charging dock is an add-on accessory that connects via pogo pins to the base of the clock. The dock can wirelessly charge at 10W, and also has a full-sized USB port on the rear of the dock for charging additional devices. Also handy for beside the bed, the dock has a light built in to provide a soft glow at the base which can act as a night light.

The clock is of course powered by Google Assistant, and offers all the same functionality as larger smart displays including checking through Google Photos, use the Assistant to check time, weather, traffic or your calendar and control your smart home.

The clock has been announced in three fashionable colours – Shadow Black, Heather Grey and Abyss Blue – which are neutral enough for most colour schemes.

At this stage Lenovo has confirmed that the clock is coming to Australia, but we’re waiting on Local pricing and availability to be confirmed.
