NVIDIA GeForce Now launches in Australia this month for $19.99 per month – take your games on the road

After the recent launch of Microsoft’s xCloud in Australia, Cloud gaming in Australia is really hotting up and it’s getting hotter with the announcement that the Nvidia powered GeForce Now is launching in Australia on October 19th .

Nvidia’s GeForce Now lets you stream games from your Steam, EPIC, Ubisoft and GOG libraries to your PC or Mac, Chromebook and even your Android and iOS devices, there’s also an Android TV option for the TV through the Nvidia Shield. 

Similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service which streams games from Xbox Series powered hardware, GeForce Now streams high-end graphics from RTX powered blade servers in local data centres in Perth and Sydney hosted by local partner, Perth based ISP, Pentanet.

While anyone can use GeForce Now for free for up to an hour, if you want to game longer, up to 4 hours per session, you’ll need to sign up for a monthly subscription. GeForce Now will launch with a ‘Founders’ offer of $19.99 per month, with a yearly plan letting you pay just $17.99 per month.

The Nvidia GeForce Now beta has been running for 3 weeks now, with over 3 million minutes of Beta play logged across 100,000 gaming sessions. As a beta users I can say it’s worked a treat for me, though I have been on home Wifi and can’t wait to get on the road and try it in a more mobile setting.
