D-Link launches the world’s first Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter (and a new Wi-Fi 6 mesh router)

Wi-Fi 6 is here and is appearing in nearly all new high-end devices which is great, for those who can purchase a new device. Those who cannot or do not want to update their devices such as laptops are stuck on the slower Wi-Fi 5 but now D-Link have a USB adapter to convert your laptop and PC to Wi-Fi 6.

D-Link DWA-X1850 USB Wi-Fi 6 Adapter

The new DWA-X1850 AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 USB 3.0 Adapter (that’s one hell of a name) will plug into any USB port and provides instant 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 connectivity to your laptop or PC. It will deliver speeds of up to AX1800 (574Mbps and 1200Mbps, making it ideal for large file transfers, gaming and high-resolution streaming.

You can be sure of your security using the new DWA-X1850 with it featuring 128-bit WPA3 encryption along with MU-MIMO technology allowing for better use of your Wi-Fi 6 router. The DWA-X1850 comes with its software pre-installed on it so is a simple installation allowing your older devices to join in on the Wi-Fi 6 speeds. For those who are not ready to update their devices to devices that include the new Wi-Fi 6 standard then the USB adapter is a perfect, and much cheaper, addition.

D-Link DIR-X3260 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Router

If you do not already have a Wi-Fi 6 router and are looking to jump into the new wireless technology, then D-Link has just announced a new router alongside the Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter. The DIR-X3260 EXO AX AX3200 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Router delivers blistering speeds of up to 2400Mbps on the 5GHz and 800Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, speeds essential for high quality video conferencing, VR, 8K video streaming and more.

The AX3200 Router’s durable 1024-QAM boosts throughput to devices by up to 25% and its 160MHz contiguous channel width gives even more bandwidth to support a greater number of devices — something you should be looking for in a Wi-Fi 6 router. The router also has ports galore with 4 Gigabit LAN ports and 1 Gigabit WAN port to provide you with faster wired connectivity whenever you wish. There are also built in USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to create shared storage on your network.
