Huawei launches three new MateBook laptops in Australia – available to pre-order now

Huawei has announced their three latest Matebook series laptops are heading to Australia, with devices available to pre-order from today, with units set to arrive in store from November 11th.

The new range has something for everyone, with ultra-slim and lightweight designs and the inclusion of HUAWEI FullView Displays and Intel Core processors. The new range all launches with Windows 10, but also includes a Windows 11 update to keep your hardware up to date.

The new range starts with the entry level Huawei MateBook D14 from just $1,199, then moves up to the  mid-range Huawei MateBook 14 at $1,799  and finally the high-end Matebook Pro X 2021 for $2,999.

MateBook Pro X 2021

The MateBook Pro X 2021 uses an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor, with a 13.9-inch 3K FullView LTPS touch display in a super-slim body measuring just 14.6mm thin. Huawei is also including 16GB of 3733MHz LPDDR4 RAM with a 1TB nVME SSD drive.

The laptop has up to 11 hours of battery life thanks to the 56Wh battery, with a 65W USB-C charger included to top you off quickly when required. 

There’s a webcam on-board, though it’s mounted under a key on the keyboard to leave the bezels around the display absolutely minimal.

The premium, lightweight laptop will be available in a metallic, ‘Space Gray’ finish which looks stunning and comes with a pre-order bonus of a pair of FreeBuds Pro TWS earbuds which worked really well when we reviewed them.

Huawei MateBook 14

For those wanting a workhorse to get through the day, the Huawei MateBook 14 is their mid-range entry, launching with a 14-inch 2K FullView screen,  10th gen Intel Core i5 1135G7 processor with 8GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD and Intel Iris Xe graphics.

Huawei says that the 56Wh battery included will also last 11 hours of work, with a 65W USB-C charger included in the box as well. 

The MateBook 14 includes a good array of ports for connectivity with a 

USB-C port for data transfer, charging and DisplayPort, and dual USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, a HDMI port and combo 3.5mm audio jack. 

The MateBook 14 also includes the FreeBuds Pro TWS earbuds if you pre-order before November 11th. You can find all the specs and more on the Huawei Australia website.

Huawei MateBook D14

For those looking for something a little more budget friendly, the MateBook D14 offers a stylish, lightweight option that still includes plenty of power for its $1,199 price tag.

Powered by an Intel Core i5-10210U processor, with 8GB RAM, 512 GB PCIe SSD and Intel UHD graphics, the laptop can also last over 13 hours with the 56Wh battery included that can be topped up quickly with the multi-purpose 65W USB-C charger included.

Huawei has put all this into a ultra-slim, portable metallic body which offers loads of display area thanks to the minimal bezels surrounding the 14-inch FHD resolution IPS display that offers up to 178° viewing angles.

There’s even a fingerprint sensor in the power button on their entry level model, as is the webcam which is hidden away under a key on the keyboard. 

The MateBook D14 is coming in Space Grey as well, and anyone pre-ordering before November 11th will receive a backpack as a bonus.

Availability

The new range of MateBook laptops are available to pre-order now from Centre Com, Optimal, Digimart and Mobileciti. Those pre-ordering the MateBook Pro X 2021 or Matebook 14 wil receive a bonus of FreeBuds Pro if they order before November 11th, while those ordering hte MateBook D14 will receive the bonus backpack when they pre-order.

Huawei will also be selling the MateBook range, with the FreeBuds Pro or Backpack offer, through the Microsoft Store from November 11th for the Matebook Pro X 2021 and Matebook 14, while the MateBook D14 will go on-sale from November 22nd.
