Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy S21 FE – coming to Australia next week

It’s been the phone that’s been teased for almost a year, but Samsung has finally unveiled (via blog post no less) the Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) with the phone set to go on-sale in Australia on the 11th of January.

Priced at $999 for the 128GB model, and $1,099 for the 256GB model with Samsung offering a pre-order bonus of Galaxy Buds2 worth $219 with the phone if purchased before January 30. To start with we have a full spec list and of course a great look at the phone which will come in four new, colour options: Olive, Lavender, White or Graphite, which Samsung says includes a ‘stylish haze finish’.

As a ‘Fan Edition’ the Galaxy S21 FE offers a lot of the great features that Galaxy S21 owners will be familiar with including ‘eye-catching design, powerful performance, pro-grade camera, and seamless ecosystem connectivity’ says Samsung.

The phone includes great specs starting with the 6.4-inch FullHD+ resolution display with under-glass fingerprint scanner which supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is covered in Gorilla Glass Invictus for added protection and the phone as a whole is also IP68 certified against dust and water.

Samsung is offering a fair bit of power on the S21 FE, including an octa-core processor built on the 5nm process and 8GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of on-board storage – the phone is also 5G enabled as well and has a massive 4,500mAh battery included for all-day battery life with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging both supported.

Of course a Samsung phone has great photography capabilities and the S21 FE is no different with a 32MP selfie camera on the front, and a triple camera array on the rear which includes a 12MP Ultra-Wide and 12MP Wide cameras as well as an 8MP sensor with Telephoto that supports ‘30x Space Zoom’.

Speaking on the announcment of the Galaxy S21 FE, Garry McGregor, Vice President, Mobile Experience Division, Samsung Electronics Australia said

The Galaxy S21 FEoffers Australians greatvalue and it is packed with the best Galaxy features our fans love including a fast processor, awesome camera, and an all-day battery with fast charging. It has all the features you need to capture and share content, enjoy mobile gaming and your favourite content on-the-go. Priced from just $999, this is one the most stylish and feature-packed smartphones available on the market today.

The Galay S20 FE was a raging success for Samsung, so the anticipation for the Galacy S21 FE is justified. We’ll be checking out the S21 FE as soon as Samsung get one into our hands. Until then, you can head over to the Samsung Australia website to pre-register for the phone – and pick yourself up a $50 voucher for Accessories in the process.
