The OPPO Find X5 series will be available on Australian shelves from April 19

Five weeks ago OPPO launched their 2022 flagship smartphone to the world, the Find X5 Pro.  Today they have announced Australian pricing and availability details for the entire OPPO Find X5 series – spoiler alert: pre-order from 4th April and on sale from 19th April.

OPPO Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Tran said:

“With our latest flagship series, we are breaking new ground in advanced technologies and human-centric user experience. The Find X5 Series continues to propel OPPO forward into the high-end market, with its futuristic design, technological innovations and premium International Warranty Service, every aspect of the Find X5 Series has been tailored to deliver the best possible user experience. All the while, sticking to OPPO’s mission of making premium accessible.”

OPPO Find X5 Pro

To recap, the OPPO Find X5 Pro arrives with one of the best in class camera systems available thanks in part to its partnership with Hasselblad, its top end imaging hardware and their new MariSilicon X Imaging neural processing unit.  The rear camera island which incorporates one of the more impressive-looking designs includes a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 13MP telephoto camera – missing the macro lens of last year but we will see if that is significant in the upcoming review (hint: I loved the macro lens on the Find X3 Pro).

The front display is a gorgeous 6.7-inch ultra-clear curved AMOLED display with a 2K (WQHD+) resolution which provides 100% P3 colour gamut coverage and is capable of a refresh rate of 1Hz up to 120Hz, depending on what is being displayed on the screen.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery (dual battery setup) which can be charged at an ultra-fast 80W wired or 50W wirelessly.  Of course, the phone also includes IP68 water and dust resistance as you’d expect from a flagship smartphone in 2022.

The OPPO Find X5 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be available in Ceramic White and Glaze Black at a flagship price of $1,799 with pre-orders beginning on April 4 and hitting shelves country-wide on April 19.

Those who pre-order from a participating retailer will receive bonus products valued at $686 which includes 1x OPPO Enco X, 1x OPPO Watch Free, 1x OPPO AirVOOC Charger and 1x OPPO Find X5 Pro Kevlar Case – it’s worth it just for that 45W AirVOOC wireless charger!  Participating retailers are Vodafone (black only), Telstra, Optus (Black only), JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Wireless1, Woolworths Mobile, Catch, Kogan, TeleChoice, Amazon, Mobileciti, Bing Lee and Australia Post.

OPPO Find X5

The OPPO Find X5 includes the same rear camera setup as the Find X5 Pro with a triple rear camera set up (50MP, 50MP and 13MP) and a MariSilicon X NPU to aid in the computational photography.  It differs from the Pro in that it has just a 6.5-inch display (still plenty big enough) with only a 1080P resolution but is still capable of the smooth 120Hz refresh rate.  The Find X5 still supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging but just 30W AirVOOC wireless charging.

The Find X5 will be available in Ceramic White and Glaze Black for $1,399 on April 4 for pre-orders and on sale April 19.

Those who pre-order from a participating retailer will receive bonus products valued at $557 which includes 1x OPPO Enco X, 1x OPPO Watch Free, 1x OPPO Find X5 Kevlar Case.  Participating retailers are Vodafone (Black only), JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Wireless1, Woolworths Mobile, Catch, Kogan, TeleChoice, Amazon, Mobileciti, Bing Lee and Australia Post.

OPPO Find X5 Lite

The Find X5 Lite is a much more affordable device but it still sports a triple rear camera consisting of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.  Its display is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display capable of a refresh rate of 90Hz and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset.  It houses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.  The Find X5 Lite looks set to be great value for money.

The Find X5 Lite will be available in Starry Black and Startrails Blue for $799 on April 4 for pre-orders and on sale April 19.

Those who pre-order from a participating retailer will receive a set of bonus OPPO Enco X headphones valued at $299.  Participating retailers are Vodafone (Black only), Optus (Black only), JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Big W, Wireless1, Woolworths Mobile, Catch, Kogan, TeleChoice, Yes Distribution, Amazon, Mobileciti, Bing Lee, Australia Post and Retravision.
