Dell announce new XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1 models

Dell has unveiled a pair of new XPS 13 models today, taking advantage of the latest 12th Gen Intel processors, and showing off a sleek new design.

The Dell XPS 13 line has been at the forefront of design, portability and design but they’ve added more models to the line including a convertible and 2-in-1 option over the years, and a more performance focused XPS 13 Plus which launched earlier this year.

The new XPS 13 announced today has a focus on portability with a long lasting 12-hour battery life and with a thin, light and compact design that can fit easily into any bag or laptop. There’s also the new XPS 13 2-in-1, a new design for their convertible model which will be the first XPS device to offer 5G connectivity.

XPS 13

The new Dell XPS 13 will include options for 12th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and up to 32GB of DDR 5 RAM and up to 1TB SSD under the hood, with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The laptop itself has been re-designed with the motherboard now miniaturised to be 1.8x smaller than last years model. This has allowed for the new model to be thinner lighter and to be better sounding with the speaker chambers also increased.

The laptop will include the 5th generation, 4-side InfinityEdge display with minimal bezels, allowing you to be immersed in the screen. The display also includes Eyesafe technology to manage things like blue light for eye strain and more.

The Dell XPS 13 will launch in Australia and New Zealand from June 17th in two colour options: a softened shade of Sky, the tinted CNC machined aluminium is curated and premium. with prices starting at $AUD1,499 | $ NZD 1,899. You can start checking it out on the US site now

XPS 13 2-in-1

The latest XPS 13 2-in-1 offers all the functionality you could want from a 2-in-1 device with the magnetic XPS Folio case including keyboard attaching to the device when needed, and easily slipping off when required and the XPS Stylus which can attach to the top of the device when not in use.

The new XPS 13 2-in-1 will be the first to offer 5G functionality, with support for eSIM allowing you to get online quickly while away from wifi, or you can connect faster with WiFi 6E support built-in.

There will be two colour options available, with the 5G model using a darker Slate colour which includes a Gorilla Glass 7 rear for improved signal, while the Wifi model will be offered in a subtle blue Sky colour.

Dell will be launching the XPS 13 2-in-1 in Australia and New Zealand from July 9th, with prices set to start from $AUD 1,999 | $NZD 2,399
