ThinkBook Plus Twist with E-Ink display and ThinBook 16p with Magic Bay accesory system headlines Lenovo SMB announcements

While their new Yoga and Legion range are firmly in the consumer space, Lenovo’s ThinkBook range aimed at Small and medium-sized businesses offer some fantastic options for those looking at a more business oriented device.

The new ThinkBook range announced by Lenovo includes a brilliant new offering in the form of the ThinkBook Plus Twist with dual display offering a high-quality main OLED display with front-lit colour e-Ink display on the rear. Also on offer is the new ThinkBook 16P Gen 4 with the new Magic Bay connector and range of accessories.

ThinkBook Plus Twist

Putting a new spin (hah) on their ThinkBook computing is the ThinkBook Plus Twist, their latest model with a main 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED with a display that can be twisted to reveal a low-power 12-inch colour e-Ink touch display with 12Hz refresh to reduce eye-strain on the back.

The laptop can be used as a traditional clamshell, or in tablet mode, with the ThinkBook Plus Twist offering full-size Pen support on both the e-Ink display and OLED display in tablet mode, so you can take notes on the go.

Powered by the latest range of 13th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, the ThinkBook Plus Twist is powerful enough to get you through your workload.

There’s a FullHD RGB camera with privacy shutter on board, and a Smart Power-on Fingerprint reader for biometric security.

Dual Thunderbolt 4.0 USB Type-C ports offer connectivity, and there’s also WiFi 6E support as well.

Lenovo Australia has advised they are confirming local pricing and availability, but we’re looking forward to this one.

ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 with Magic Bay Accessories

The latest ThinkBook 16p has received a generous, and interesting update for its fourth generation, with 13th Gen Intel Core H-series Processors as well as the new Magic Bay accessory system.

The Magic Bay system allows a range of accessories, which include a Selfie Light, high-resolution 4K Web Cam and LTE module, to be attached via POGO pins and magnets to a connector on the rear of the lid above the integrated FHD webcam. This accessory system harkens to the Moto Mods from the Moto Z line made by Lenovo’s mobile phone arm Motorola, and offer some interesting options for adding functionality to the laptop without replacing it.

The ThinkBook 16P also includes a 16-inch IPS display in either 3.2K (120Hz) or 2.5K (60Hz) resolution with Dolby Vision Support and is TUV EyeSafe. There’s up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and options for Dual SSD including up to 2x 1TB PCIe Gen 4 drives.

For those wanting excellent graphic potential, the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is on offer for those that want to configure it into their system.

The laptop also includes Dolby Atmos support on the Harman/Kardon tuned speakers with a dual-array Microphone system built-in as well.

Lenovo Australia is also still working on local pricing and availability to be confirmed for the ThinkBook 16p Gen 4, as well as the Magic Bay accessories, but we’ll update as soon as any further information comes to hand.
