After announcing their new tablet range with NXTPAPER display technology at CES earlier this year, at Mobile World Congress the company have announced an updated new range with the NXTPAPER 11 and TCL Tab 11, as well as NXTPAPER 2.0.
The TCL NXTPAPER display technology has offered users a more comfortable experience with viewing their display for longer, but it’s time to up the ante with NXTPAPER 2.0.
At 500nits, TCL NXTPAPER 2.0 is up to 150% brighter than the original offering crystal clear displays that can be viewed in the brightest sunshine so you can relax anywhere with a movie, even outside, and still see the screen. The display tech exceeds TÜV levels of blue light reduction says TCL, but still maintains life-like colour and deep contrast.
NXTPAPER 2.0 will use multi-layer screen protection to reduce glare, diffusing light rather than altering it, and the integrated light sensor will automatically adjust colour temperature as required.
The new TCL NXTPAPER 11 will be one of the first devices to offer NXTPAPER 2.0 display technology. The 11-inch 2K resolution display will support the TCL T-pen stylus (an optional extra) for taking notes or drawing on the tablet, with 4096-level pressure sensitivity allowing for a realistic and smooth feel similar to writing on paper.
A Mediatek Helio P60T octa-core processor will power the tablet, with 8,000mAh battery allowing lengthy use and the tablet also supports reverse charging so you can use it like a power bank to top up your other devices when needed.
TCL will include an 8MP rear facing camera, as well as an 8MP selfie camera with wide-angle and quad speakers with dual microphones complete the package to allow for excellent video calls.
The tablet will run Android 13 out of the box with TCL’s simple UI offering easy multi-tasking with Split Screen or the Floating Window feature to get that dual screen.
The TCL Tab 11 will include an 11-inch 5:3 aspect ratio 2K resolution displaywith an 85% screen to body ratio and also supports the low-latency T-pen stylus.
The tablet is also powered by a Mediatek Helio P60T octa-core processor and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage. There’s also the same 8,000mAh battery on-board with reverse charging support.
TCL will also include the same 8MP Front and Rear facing camera setup as the NXTPAPER 11 as well as 4-speaker, dual Mic setup.
At this stage no Australian specific dates or pricing has been announced, but the TCL NXTPAPER 11 will be priced from US$249 when it launches first in Europe in May. The TCL TAB 11 will also launch in May, with the Wi-Fi model priced from US$179, while an LTE model will be priced from US$209.
