Motorola discounts Razr 2022 as competition heats up in the Aussie foldable market

The launch of the OPPO Find N2 foldable in Australia today has seen a surge in deals on foldable phones with Motorola now offering a discount on their foldable, the Motorola Razr 2022.

After seeing discounts from Samsung earlier this month when pre-orders for the Find N2 opened, Motorola has launched their deals the day the phone becomes available in Australia, with the deal running until the 12th of April. From today you’ll see a $200 discount on the Motorola Razr 2022 at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys and Big W, with the phone now selling for $1,399.

Launched late last year, the Motorola Razr 2022 redesigned Motorola’s first forays into the foldable market, with a super compact and pocketable design. The design includes a HDR10 certified folding 6.7″ FHD+ pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, with a 2.7” AMOLED QuickView display on the outside.

The phone packs the latest hardware including a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage with a 3,500 mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging support.

There’s a 50MP instant focus camera which uses Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), with an additional 13MP Ultrawide plus macro vision sensor on the outside of the phone, enabling you to capture sharper and brighter photos anytime of the day, and a 32MP selfie camera in a punch hole notch in the main display.

With the Find N2 priced at $1,499 with 256GB storage, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip4 starting at $1499 but with 128GB of storage, this gives Motorola a bit of a boost in visibility for consumers.

We’ll be seeing Trevors thoughts on the OPPO Find N2 shortly, so stay tuned for that one. If you want to check out the Motorola Razr 2022 though, you can find it at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys and Big W.
