Skullcandy release the all-new Crusher ANC 2 Headphones with all new features for $399

Skullcandy has always offered great value for money when it comes to their headphones — I have some myself in my headphone rotation. Now they are expanding their top end headphone offerings with the new Crusher ANC 2 Headphones, landing at $399 this week.

The Crusher ANC 2 headphones are the latest addition to the well-established Crusher lineup and feature their patented Adjustable Sensory Bass — yes, sensory bass, bass you can actually feel. The overall sound of the headphones is designed to be personalised and customisable to your own listening preferences.

As with the first gen Crusher ANC headphones the second generation the larger earcups and the notched headband allow for improved comfort for long listening sessions.

“This latest generation of Crusher gives fans the bass response they loved in its predecessors, with the added feature of Active Noise Cancelling,” said Jason Luthman, Director of Global Product Management. “We have been refining and improving the Crusher Technology for over a decade now and Crusher ANC 2 is our seventh iteration in the family. For those looking for a premium headphone, the all-new Crusher ANC 2 has it all and will no doubt deliver the world-class listening experience they crave, while layering on robust, in-demand features at a ridiculously good value.”

The Crusher ANC 2 sports 4-mic active noise cancelling to detect and remove noise in all the frequencies that you are able to hear resulting in a complete ANC experience. This results in a crisp audio expereince, unfettered by your environmental noise.

The sensory bass is once again present and if you love your bass then this is right up your alley. This bone-rattling bass can not only be controlled by the wheel on the headphones but also by using Skullcandy’s voice-controlled commands — “Hey Skullcandy, more Crusher.

The audio is tuned to your ears using the hearing test within the Skullcandy Skull-IQ app. This sound profile that is created by the app is then used to tune to headphones to your ears, after all, everyone’s ears are different.

Taking phones calls is also improved with Clear Voice Smart Mic technology that uses AI to process your audio input, recognising and removing unwanted noise. The headphones also include Tile finding technology should you misplace them.

The Crusher ANC 2 offer 60 hours of listening time with ANC off and an amazing 50 hours with ANC on. If you run out of battery though, fear not, as a quick 10-minute charge will give you another four hours of playback!
