Motorola announce moto g54 5G for a budget friendly $299

Motorola have announced the latest in their popular budget friendly Moto G series with he moto g54 5G now available in Australia making it their first sub-$300 5G smartphone.  

At $299 the moto g54 5G includes a fast 5G connection and a large FullHD resolution display with 120Hz refresh, 50MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), massive 5000mAh battery and all finished off with a vegan leather option in Indigo Blue or a premium matte finish in Midnight Blue.

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage and up to 1TB microSD cards, the moto g54 5G offers a powerful phone for under $300. It also includes a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.

The moto g54 5G is perfect for entertainment or gaming on the large 6.5” display, especially when paired with stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound by Motorola.

The 50MP camera has an aluminium housing and uses Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for a steady shot even in the most unsteady hands, as well as helping with long exposures in low-light. There’s also a 2MP macro camera available on the rear for any close-up shots you want to do, while on the front, a 16MP selfie camera offers an automatic Face Retouch option.

On the software side, the moto g54 5G will launch with Android 13 and Motorola’s unique My UX software with a promise for an update to Android 14, as well as 3 years of bi-monthly security updates.
