Power, Performance, Connectivity – Belkin’s new Thunderbolt 4 gear is made to simplify and improve

The thing about having a powerful laptop like a MacBook Pro is that you’re probably not harnessing even part of what it could be because of the way you’re connecting stuff to it or your simple inability to do so. Today, Belkin has announced their lineup of new Thunderbolt 4 solutions including cables, Docks and Hubs.

What makes Thunderbolt so much more than just USB-C is it’s throughput, and if you use just a USB-C cable you might not be getting the bandwidth, resolution or power delivery you are expecting.

Created by Intel, Thunderbolt is made to improve your workspace or gaming setup with a high-performance connection and a simple way to improve charging, data transfer, video signals all in a single port.

Belkin has three products made just for Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.

Of course there’s a Belkin Thunderbolt 4 Cable which provides 40Gbps of bandwidth which allows for simultaneous data transfers as well as high-definition video and Power Delivery up to 100W. Of course it’s also backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, and all USB standards.

The Belkin Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock is the ultimate connectivity solution for your workspace. With 12 ports you can connect your Mac or Windows Laptop to everything on your desk with just one cable.

You’ll get 90W of power to charge the connected devices, as well as an epic 8K 30Hz display output for a single display, or 4K 60Hz dual display and the potential to output on up to three screens! (on supported laptops)

There are a staggering 12 ports for power, video and data:

  1. Thunderbolt 4 (upstream)
  2. Thunderbolt 4 (downstream)
  3. HDMI 2.0
  4. HDMI 2.0
  5. USB-C 3.1 Gen 2
  6. USB-A 3.1
  7. USB-A 3.1
  8. USB-A 2.0
  9. USB-A 2.0
  10. SD Card 4.0
  11. Gigabit Ethernet
  12. 3.5mm Audio

If that’s a bit overwhelming, and you’ve just got a nice work from home or even office setup where you bring your laptop and want your phone charging, monitors connected and such, then the Belkin Connect Thunderbolt 4 5-in-1 Core Hub.

This can connect up to five devices, four of which can be thunderbolt enabled. All through a single cable to your laptop.

Of course, through the power of Thunderbolt you can daisy-chain up to six thunderbolt devices.

The Hub is retailing for $299.95, the epic Dock for $499.95 and the Thunderbolt 4 cable is $79.95
